I wanted to reach out and let you know I received my order and the cheese is amazing, it is exactly the way it should be for a cheddar, great taste and dry. I was intrigued about Goot Essa Cheese facility after reading an article in the Lancaster Farming. My wife Betty and I took a beautiful drive through central PA to check it out. Upon arriving there, we were warmly greeted and given samples to try. We were also graciously given a tour of the cheese caves. In my opinion each one of the different types of cheese and especially the blue cheese (Der Edel Bleu) are among the best if not the best cheeses I’ve ever tasted. From the bite to the creamy finish each cheese is marvelous! Kudos to Bob Patton the cheese recipe designer, John Esh and family, the hardworking cheese makers and the rest of the Goot Essa team!

I found out about you all (Goot Essa) from a visit to a winery where we had your house smoked cheddar (Mountain Home Woodsmoked Cheddar). That was the best cheese I’ve ever had. I’m a really big fan!

Great find! Wonderful cheeses! Shop is located down a small dirt road, but good signage leads the way. Large selection of cow, goat, and sheep cheeses. Offered tastings and a nice selection of pairings.
